Nurtured in Nature ExhibitThe Quesnel Art Gallery is excited to present the new art exhibition, "Nurtured in Nature," featuring works by local artists Sandy Meidlinger and Marie Nestel. Sandy's acrylic paintings are a stunning depiction of nature's beauty, while Marie's pottery showcases the raw textures of natural materials. The exhibition offers a unique perspective on the natural world, and the works by both artists complement each other perfectly.
Sandy and Marie draw their inspiration from the beauty of nature, and their passion is evident in the intricate details and vibrant colors in their art. Visitors to the exhibition will be transported to a world of natural wonders, with each piece reflecting the artists' deep love and appreciation for the environment. Don't miss this opportunity to view the stunning collaboration of local painter and potter. As always, we will open the show with an evening reception from 7-9pm Wednesday May 17th. Join us for an enjoyable evening surrounded by unique artworks and art-lovers alike, snacks and refreshments will be offered. The exhibition is kindly sponsored by Design Flooring LTD and will be on display at the Quesnel Art Gallery from May 17th to June 9th. Admission is free, and all are welcome to come and see this incredible show. Come out and support and engage with the creation of art within our community.
Transforming Our Space: |
Our display window just got an upgrade thanks to a generous grant from the Quesnel Arts Council! With a new black lining and a new hanging system, our window is now more visually striking and inviting. This renovation to our display window not only enhances the look of our gallery but also provides a professional setting for local artists to showcase their work. We're very thankful to have received the grant from the Quesnel Arts Council. We extend our gratitude to volunteers Marguerite Hall, Sue Ellen Miller, and Lori Stolarski for their time and hard work on the installation. Grants play a crucial role in supporting our non-profit organization, not only allowing us to operate our free public art space, but also offering opportunities to grow and expand. We are incredibly grateful to the Quesnel Arts Council for their project grant, which allowed us to create this stunning new display window. We also want to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work of all our volunteers, none of this would be possible without their continued support and efforts. Stop by and see the amazing "HOME" exhibit by Lesley Kuhn, and show your support for the Quesnel Art Gallery and our vibrant arts community. Thank you for supporting YOUR Quesnel Art Gallery & Gift Shop. We hope to see you soon! | |
