Spring Refresh

Spring Cleaning!
Spring is bringing change to the Art Gallery, we’ve taken on exciting new projects and have big plans for the months to come! We will be closed Saturday May 18th for the long weekend.

Exhibit Cancelled in May.
Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel our exhibit in May, we’re taking some time to do some spring cleaning and get ready for our next show.

New Projects!
Spring is bringing change to the Art Gallery, we’ve taken on exciting new projects and have big plans for the months to come! If you haven’t heard already we’ll be taking over the annual Art Trail, this is going to be such a fun opportunity for us to work with the community.

2024 Art Trail!

The Quesnel Art Trail 2024!
The annual Art Trail is a 3 week self-guided tour through businesses in Quesnel to view local artists showcasing their work. Previously the Art Trail has been a very successful project by the Quesnel & District Community Arts Council.

We are so excited to be taking this project on and to work with the artists and businesses. Please consider donating, support us in bringing this artistic event to the community!

This is such a unique opportunity for artists & businesses alike to reach a more diverse audience. The deadline to apply is July 31st, but don’t hesitate to get involved, we want to see your artwork!

June Exhibition

Spirit of Quesnel.
The exhibit we have planned for June is going to be a special one, we can’t wait to share it with you! ‘Spirit of Quesnel’ will be a photography exhibit by late local photographer Stan Boyd. The Gallery has been working with Stan’s family members to recover a series of photographs that he had planned to exhibit. The photographs will be accompanied by some writings to share a bit of backstory to the people & places portrayed.

Opening Reception!
This exhibit will open Thursday June 6th at 7pm. The opening reception will feature a short introduction ceremony and drumming, refreshments will be provided. Please join us for an evening of celebration, and discovery of life through the lens of former Nazko chief, the late Stan Boyd.
